Fern Hill Retreat is located on a five-acre lot in the Southern Wisconsin countryside near New Glarus Woods State Park. The retreat has been run exclusively for quilters over the past twelve years, and even though it is under new management starting in 2015, it still caters to the needs of quilters in terms of the amenities provided and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Fern Hill’s owner, Chris Paris, is well-versed in the quilting arts. A long-time quilter, she also works at Quilter’s Compass, a local quilt shop, arranging the fabrics and retail store space to provide an open, relaxing, and inspiring shopping experience. She is focused on providing the best possible experience for Fern Hill guests whether you are staying for two days or two weeks.

Fern Hill has always been a smoke-free and pet-free facility for the comfort of our guests. Central air conditioning keeps the entire facility comfortable in the summer months.
